Does this place serve bisuits & gravey??
Fantastic atmosphere, food is great, waitress was so nice.
Awesome food and price is way better then any fast food place. Half the price of McDonald's and 10x better.
MoreFriendly people, delicious root beer and banana icecream.
Old fashion soda shop.
A 60s atmosphere love all the pictures and service was great and so was the food
MoreA fun place to stop for a bite to eat and great ice cream treats!
Quaint little soda shop. 1950's feel. Good food good prices. Awesome ice cream.
Amazing. Only place I know where its like eating at a cookout. Fresh burgers, fresh fries, home brewed tea and servers are on it. Great job!
MoreLove there cheese burgers ππ
Great food and atmosphere. Great service.
I ordered a chocolate soda, a favorite of mine. For $4.50 there was alot of vanilla ice cream. A meal in it self. As was the milk shake. Great service, friendly workers. They have a large menu not just ice cream. A favorite place of mine.
MoreFun place! Good food, but limited seating.
Decent diner food. Really yummy milkshakes. Perfect location just a little ways from the beach!
MoreDelicious food! Our server was Maritza, shes great ask for her!I got the peanut butter sweet pickle burger. (It's better than it sounds.)And I had my first chocolate malt. Omgosh! Delicious and so much of it too! I got two a glass and a cup half full. Yummy!
MoreGood food cheap prices
Waited nearly 45 minutes for a burger and a hot dog. There were 3 other tables of customers and 6 people working at the time. I am not the type of person that gets impatient waiting for food, but no one even came to say why it was taking so long or how much longer it would be. Food was ok, but I would not come here again because of how long it took.
MoreGreat food and service
I always stop by this place when I'm nearby. The burgers are great, and the food choices on their menu are the best part. It's familiar enough to where you can get a regular burger if you want, and if you happen to want peanut butter and pickles on it, they have that too (a personal favorite). Their dessert and drink selection (think old school soda parlor) is pretty darn good. The town it's in is adorable as well. This place is definitely worth a visit!
MoreIf youβre in the area STOP!! Itβs such a cool place and the food is great. I got the red river shake it was hands down the best shake Iβve ever had! Iβll definitely be back
MoreAmazing place!! JUST like the old soda fountains!! Great prices, great food, and very friendly staff. They were willing to tell me all about the history of the place and all about the town and area. This place is a MUST for at least one meal when in the area!!
MoreSlow hipster service, but good food and pleasant atmosphere. 2 pita's and a salad came out about 45-50 minutes after ordering, but the staff was very pleasant and best of all, attentive during our wait. Could be a covid thing, but still an overall pleasant experience. Great little town to visit in the summer.
MoreGreat food. Nice old fashioned place. Best malts in Vermillion.
Love the food and the ice cream and banana split and the Cherry phosphate
This place is pretty neat! A ton of antiques and other old items line the walls of the whole place. They serve a variety of burgers and hot dogs as well as milkshakes, malts, banana splits and floats. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. They were over breaded and the breading was mushy on the inside. We will probably not get those again. My wife ordered the shooner. (Chicago style hotdog). She said she loved it and should have ordered two. I had the Brutus, an all beef coney dog with cheese! It was delicious. We will definitely be back when we are in town. Prices are very reasonable as well!
MoreSlow service. Decor needs refurbished.
Great food fair price yummy ice cream and outstanding service
Service was GREAT but the 'new' fish sandwich was terrible. Nothing was offered since the sandwich was so bad(no refund or return credit...not even a free ice cream cone...nothing!). Will not get that again.
MoreNice little old fashioned soda shop. Barely any soda lol but has lots of shakes, floats and food. The prices are cheap. No AC so on a hot day get ice cream. I ordered the southwestern burger with homemade BBQ sauce, it was good. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste but it was good. They have a peanut butter burger, I didnt try it but they say dont knock it till you try it
MoreNice server and milkshakes were awesome!
Food was good but pretty pricey for what we got.
Little neighborhood grill with decent food, friendly service, and milkshakes to die for.
MoreHomey old fashioned restaurant. Good food and they have ice cream! π
I love all the knick knacks all around.
This is a fun place. I remember as a child my dad taking me to an old fashioned drugstore / soda fountain. This place brought back those memories.
Morefriendly staff excellent dessert
Excellent burgers and fried pickles! I also had the Red River Shake and X had the Muddy River Shake which were both amazing! We will be back. This was my first time, but X has been there before and raved about it!
MoreFood was fantastic!!ππ service was great and she was friendly. Great for a walk down memory lane!!
MoreHow neat is this place! reminds me of way back when. the good ol days where folks were kind and things were well taken care of. Great place for a quick bite an ice cream on a warm summer day
MoreGood prices on everything. The food and ice cream was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. The store is like stepping back to a 1920's or 30's ice cream parlor.
MoreFun little diner. Food was good and prices were reasonable.
Good but very slow
Tiny portions. Over-inflated prices. I ordered a hot dog for 3.75 and side of fried mushrooms for 3.75. They gave me seven tiny mushrooms. Let me repeat that. 7 mushrooms for $3.75. The hot dog was just okay. Regular size, as opposed to being large as one might expect for almost $4. Kids meals were ridiculous. Corn dog and a condiment sized cup of applesauce for 5.75. My seven-year-old that normally eats like a bird said he was still hungry after we ate, which I don't think has ever happened in his life. I really wish we'd gone pretty much anywhere else.
MoreGreat milk shakes and food.
Quaint, small town ambience. Good, friendly service. Good food.
I love the idea of this place but not the actual place... the food is expensive and sort of mediocre. I ordered a regular Dr. Pepper and couldn't drink it because it tasted like it had other flavors in it and was disappointed overall.
Moreclassic placebest peanut butter burgersa must stop when I am in the areaworth a small detour to go if need be as well
MoreWonderful service and the food was outstanding. I had the mushroom Swiss burger on gluten free bread. The fries are not gluten free due to the fact that they are fried in the same frier as everything else. My hubby ordered the Big Grill w/o cheese. You must get a milkshake. I kinda drank most of his milkshake it was sooooo yummy. We will definately be back.
MoreCheck your bill! At the register, was charged almost 20 instead of 12.80 even though it was written clearly and circled on my bill. My sister's drink but not rung up but she was charged for it. Staff pocketing money?
MoreAbsolutely fantastic one of the best places to still get a real malt.
They serve Pierre's Ice Cream there. That's what I tried so that's all I can recommend. It's a fun place to stop because the decor is a throwback to the 1950's or 30's not sure how old the place really is. It"s a place that you can say "you've been ther."
